The New FAD: status message

These days the online community is never offline. Communication can't get any more instanter than this. Just login to the instant chat and you know what your buddies are up to, doing, thinking thanks to their status message. No sending and replying. What's on your mind you put it a your status message.

You can even set the track you are listening to as a status message. Few people got so addicted that they keep changing their status messages every few minutes.
The instant revolution is not limited to communicating or chatting but is now morphing into workspace as well. If "In meeting", status message tells something about what's happening, the online file collabration takes work to the next level. launched Wednesday, docs.google lets you collabrate on a single file for writing. So, even if someone is living 1000 miles away, you can collabrate and write a single story.

And if this is all about status message, there's other thing also , signing into mobile. With mobile phone login thing we are just a message away from our friends. My friend who sleeps late night at 3 or 4 am sometimes pings in the midnight to my mobile from her messenger ( "avi dude come online na ....).
